Critical Hit’s 2018 Überfox series is a renaming, recycling and reprinting of its earlier Afrika Korps series.  As that entry has grown too long and complex, the Überfox edition of the series is discussed here, and in one series entry, rather than with separate entries for all 14 of the products in the series.

It is highly recommended that people first read the entry for Afrika Korps- El Alamein before reading this entry, as it provides needed context and information.

Desperation Morale has physically examined the first product in this series but has not physically examined other products in the series.

Except for tweaks to various individual scenarios, the only major difference between this series and the older Afrika Korps series is the fact that this series uses a version of the generic map with larger hexes. ASLers should be forewarned that this is a very large map indeed, too large to be convenient for many ASLers, so the original Afrika Korps series might actually be more practical than this version.

Essentially, players are expected to buy Überfox 13, which has the needed overlays and map, then can buy the other products as desired.  A handful of scenarios require a second map, which Critical Hit makes available as Überfox 14.

Here are the individual products in the series:

• Überfox 1: El Alamein.  Contents:  8 pages rules, 1 1/2″ countersheet British Infantry/SW (nonstandard color), 1 1/2″ countersheet German Infantry/SW, 10 scenarios on cardstock. This product is roughly analogous to Afrika Korps-El Alamein, except the maps and overlays of that product are not included here but are sold separately.  The scenarios are the same, although probably tweaked slightly (Critical Hit has a habit of doing that).
  
• Überfox 2: Beyond El Agheila.  Contents: 8 scenarios on cardstock. This product is the reprint of Afrika Korps-Benghazi Handicap.  See that entry for more details.
  
• Überfox 3: Tunisian Tussle. Contents: 8 scenarios on cardstock. This product is the reprint of Afrika Korps-Bitter Enders.  See that entry for more details.

• Überfox 11: The Pastor’s Punch. Contents: 5 glossy 12″ x 18″ heavy paper/light cardstock map panels, 8 scenarios on cardstock. This product is the reprint of Afrika Korps-Hellfire Pass and Beyond.  See that entry for more details. The included map panels form a “giant escarpment” overlay.
• Überfox 12: Sidi Bou Zid. Contents: 9 scenarios on cardstock. This product is the reprint of Afrika Korps-El Guettar Stakes.  See that entry for more details.
  
• Überfox 13: Massive Map + Overlay Set. This product is needed in order to play all of the scenarios of the preceding 12 products. It contains a massive generic desert map formed by assembling approximately 25 glossy 12″ x 18″ heavy paper/light cardstock map panels as well as 17 similarly-sized sheets of overlays to be used on the large generic map.
  
• Überfox 14: Map 2 Set. This is a second generic desert map identical to the one in the above product, used for the small amount of scenarios in this series that call for the use of two maps (these appear in Überfox 7 and 10). It does not include the overlays, only the map.
