Commentary:

Special Ops ASL Scenario Bundle Volume 1 is a reprint anthology of 20 scenarios (O1-O20) that originally appeared in various issue of MMP’s Special Ops house magazine since its debut in 2011. Typically, issues of Special Ops include 2 ASL scenarios and 2 ASLSK scenarios; here, only ASL scenarios are collected (at the same time this product was released, MMP also released a similar ASLSK anthology pack). Most, but not all, of the Special Ops ASL scenarios are included in this pack; presumably, the remainder will be released, along with as-yet-unpublished scenarios, in a future second bundle.

This bundle was released only electronically, as a downloadable PDF available from the Wargame Vault.  At just $15 (less than a dollar a scenario), it represents a solid bargain despite the lack of physical components. The bundle, as an electronic re-issue of previously published scenarios, arguably does not constitute a new product by traditional Desperation Morale standards, but it is included here primarily because there will be many newer ASLers who cannot afford to track down and purchase all the old (and often expensive) issues just to get a small amount of scenario content.  Moreover, many of the scenarios in the pack are good and deserve to be experienced by a wider audience (see ROAR results as of 10/2024, below).
